I actually wrote this piece a few years ago. I did what I nearly always do and wrote something way beyond my actual skill level. It was at least a year before I could get through the whole 3 minutes without my left hand completely burning out.

I wrote this during a very stressful time in college, which is probably why it came out the way it did. It's an odd experience re-learning something I wrote a long time ago. It takes me back to all that was going through my head when I came up with it.
